This iteration of The Wanderer was made during a one-week residency in Dudelange that was hosted by Centre national de l’audiovisuel (CNA),in June 2022. The workshop was led by Photographer Editor for FT Weekend/Curator Emma Bowkett and Artist/Editor Naoise O’Keffe from Hot Potato.
The workshop involved working with nine other photographers based in Europe where we exchanged ideas, discussions about our artistic practice and as well as reflecting on the current global crisis are impacting our roles as photographers. I also taught a Sustainable Darkroom workshop as part of the residency, this involved me teaching to group how to develop 35mm Black and White film using a Caffonol and Vitamin C recipe that I had used to develop me work. This enabled the collective to learn more about my process and also enabled them to develop their darkroom skills.
